Super Bowl 2018 by Numbers
This week the Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots in the 2018 Super Bowl, but as marketers, we were a lot more excited by the ads than the game itself (sorry sports fans). The Super Bowl is arguably the biggest day on the TV advertising calendar, with millions tuning in live, and even more streaming it online.
Good Super Bowl ads achieve an iconic status and are remembered for years to come. Bad ones - well they get forgotten, but the sky-high price tag lingers for a while. So we had a quick look at all of the ads, picked out our faves, and had a look at the Super Bowl by numbers, and this is what we found...

With this beautiful ad, Coca-Cola celebrates diversity, showcasing the billions of different people on earth, with there obviously being a type of Coke for everyone.
Doritos and Mountain Dew - Doritos Blaze vs MTN Dew Ice
This ad features Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage lip-syncing some Busta Rhymes lyrics for Doritos and Morgan Freeman lip-syncing to Missy Elliott for Mountain Dew Ice. Funny as.
Tourism Australia - Dundee Super Bowl Ad
We had to give a shout out to our own - what starts out as something that appears to be a trailer for a new Crocodile Dundee film starring Danny McBride and Chris Hemsworth, is revealed to be a tourism ad for Australia. Now who wouldn't want to visit Australia after seeing this ad?
M&Ms - Do You Want to Eat Me?
Regular M&M character ‘Red’ wishes he could be human so that people stop trying to eat him. His wish is granted and his human form is played by Danny DeVito. Very funny!
